The DPS further stated that the aircraft involved was a twin-engine Beechcraft Baron 58, which took off from the Lubbock Executive Airpark at around 11:38 a.m.

Unfortunately, it crashed about three-quarters of a mile northwest of the runway shortly after takeoff.

26-Year-Old Pilot Killed In Lubbock Plane Crash

A fatal plane crash occurred on Friday morning near the Lubbock Executive Airpark, resulting in the pilot’s death, Tyler Blake Christie, a Lavon resident of 26 years.

The Textron Aviation-Beechcraft Barron 58P twin-engine aircraft that Christie was piloting crashed less than a mile northwest of the airpark.

The Department of Public Safety report states that the crash site was located on County Road 2500 between East County Road 7300 and 7200.
